MEDICAL PROCEDURE
In October 2019 he required heart surgery. By the following month he had recovered sufficiently to travel to New Zealand with the Korean national team for qualification matches ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games. "At first I thought it could be solved with a relatively simple procedure. But the condition was more serious than I thought, so I had to undergo surgery after general anaesthesia."
