Highlights
He guided the Jiangsu Zenith Steel women's club team to the Chinese Super League title in the 2016/17 season, and to a third-place finish at the 2018 Asian Club Championship in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. (en, 04 Feb 2022)

He had a previous spell as head coach of the People's Republic of China women's national team in 2009. Before that he was head coach of the Chinese junior women's national team between 1999 and 2008. Before his reappointment as senior national head coach, he had been coach of the Jiangsu Zenith Steel women's club team in the People's Republic of China since the 2014/15 season. He has also coached the Beijing [2010-2013] and Shanghai [1997-2002] women's club teams in the People's Republic of China.
