Team Overview

General
Bangladesh have won silver at the two editions of the Asian Games to feature women's cricket, finishing as runners-up behind Pakistan in both 2010 and 2014. The Bangladesh team batted first in the final at Guangzhou 2010, setting a target of 93 runs which Pakistan rattled off in under 16 overs without losing a wicket. The final was affected by rain four years later in Incheon, which meant Bangladesh were set a target of 43 runs from seven overs to win gold. They fell five runs short and had to settle for silver once again.

The Bangladesh team competed at all five editions of the Women's T20 World Cup between 2014 and 2023. They are yet to progress past the first round, and the team's sole victory in the group stage at the tournament was over Sri Lanka in 2014, when Bangladesh were hosts.

Bangladesh competed in the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in 2012, 2016, 2018, and 2022. After losing in the semifinals in 2012 and finishing fourth in the round-robin tournament in 2016, the Bangladeshis secured their first title at the tournament in 2018 with a three-wicket victory over India in the final. As hosts of the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, they finished fifth in the round-robin stage and missed out on the semifinals.
