FROM SPAIN TO PHILIPPINES
He was born in Madrid, Spain, to a Filipino mother and a Spanish father. He was studying to become an elementary school music teacher in Spain when he met a Filipino triathlete group on their way to Portugal. He was put in touch with the Filipino coaches and in 2019 he spent four months training in Manila, Philippines. He impressed the coaches there and became part of the national team.
