In June 2022 she sustained injuries to her head and cervical spine when she was involved in a car accident in Malaysia. She required surgery and missed the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. She returned to competition in January 2023. She has two training sessions a day, and includes long runs in her schedule. "When I was really young, I used to do a lot of long runs, which really helped me now [speaking in 2021]. I would always suggest junior players to do long runs because it's really helpful in the long term.
