Her father Randhir Singh represented India in trap shooting at five consecutive editions of the Olympic Games between 1968 and 1984, and won a gold medal at the 1978 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. He served as secretary general of the Olympic Council of Asia [OCA] from 1991 to 2015, and has served as interim president of the OCA. He was also a member of the International Olympic Committee [IOC] from 2001 to 2014. Her grandfather Bhalindra Singh served as president of the Asian Games Federation [AGF]. Her father's uncle Yadavindra Singh was the last Maharaja of Patiala in India. He also played cricket for India and served as head of the Indian Olympic Association [IOA].
