She began rowing in 2009 in Ambon, Indonesia. "In 2010 I entered the senior national championships which were also the trials for the 2011 South East Asian Games. I was just a kid who was about to start senior high, so I didn't have any sporting ambitions. I won silver and didn't think much about the Games.
