General
Singapore are competing in women's football at the Asian Games for the first time at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The team have made several appearances at the South East Asian Games this century. They failed to progress past the group stage at the 2001, 2003, and 2021 editions of the event. The Singaporeans also did not advance beyond the group stage on any of their four AFF Championship appearances between 2016 and 2022.

Perhaps Singapore's most notable performance came back in 1977, when they finished third at the Asian championship [now the Asian Cup]. On their most recent appearance at the tournament in 2003, the team lost all four of their group matches.
