Team Overview

General
Pakistan won bronze at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou with a six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the bronze medal match. The team did not compete at the 2014 Games in Incheon.

Pakistan are major players on the world stage. They competed at all eight editions of the Men's T20 World Cup between 2007 and 2022, reaching three finals. They lost to India by five runs in 2007 in South Africa, but secured their first and so far only title at the tournament two years later with an eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka. In 2022 they made the final for the first time in 13 years following a seven-wicket semifinal win over New Zealand, but they were unable to secure the title after losing to England by five wickets.

The Pakistan team lost the final of the 2022 Asia Cup to Sri Lanka by 23 runs.
