Team Overview

General
Hong Kong, China have competed at both editions of the Asian Games to feature cricket. They beat Nepal and Maldives in the group round at the 2010 Games in Guangzhou, but then lost to Afghanistan by eight wickets in the quarterfinals. Four years later in Incheon, they qualified directly for the last eight and beat Malaysia by seven wickets in their first match. The Hong Kongers then played Afghanistan in the semifinals, and were beaten by eight wickets in a match that was affected by rain. Facing Bangladesh for bronze, they lost by 27 runs and missed out on a spot on the podium.

At the 2022 Asia Cup, Hong Kong, China did not progress from the group stage after losing to India [by 40 runs] and Pakistan [by 155 runs].

The Hong Kong, China team competed at the Men's T20 World Cup in 2014 and 2016. They are yet to progress past the first round in the tournament and secured their sole victory to date in 2014, beating hosts Bangladesh in their final group match.
