Additional Information
General
STYLE
He changed the way he fights ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games in response to changes in the rules that rewarded a more attacking style of boxing. "I have been working on increasing my aggression. In today's boxing, there is no place for dormant boxers who like to backpedal and move around the ring without trying to throw punches and score points. Aggression is key. You don't have any option but to go for the kill. It's only when I am fighting in a competition that I will be able to judge if my aggression is in the right measure or am I going overboard." (livemint.com, 18 Jun 2016)
OTHER ROLES
In 2022 he was selected to serve on the athletes' committee at the International Boxing Association [IBA]. (nenow.in, 26 May 2022)
