Team Overview

General
Jordan's highest finish at the Asian Games is fourth, which they achieved on their debut in 1986 and again in 2006. They have made four appearances at the Games, most recently in 2014, when they exited the tournament after losing their two group matches to Mongolia and hosts the Republic of Korea.

Between 1983 and 2022 Jordan competed at 16 editions of the Asia Cup. They were runners-up in 2011 in Wuhan, where they lost the final by just a single point [70-69] to hosts the People's Republic of China. Their best performance at the Asia Cup since then came in 2022, when they reached the semifinals only to lose by a single point again [86-85] to Lebanon. They were then defeated in the third place game by New Zealand and finished fourth.

The Jordanian team qualified for the 2023 World Cup with six wins from 10 Asian qualification group games. They previously featured twice at the World Cup [2010 and 2019], recording their first World Cup victory in 2019 with a win over Senegal in their classification group.
