Team Overview

General
Thailand have competed in six of the seven baseball tournaments at the Asian Games, only missing the 2002 Games, but they are yet to win a medal. In 2018 in Indonesia, they comfortably won their opening matches against Lao People's Democratic Republic and Sri Lanka but lost their next five games and finished eighth out of 10 teams.

At other international tournaments, the Thais placed sixth at the 2009 Asian Championship in Japan, where they did not progress to the final round. Before the Asian Cup was split into separate east and west tournaments in 2012, they won the competition in 1997 and 2004. Their participation at the 2007 World Cup saw them unable to record a win.

Thailand won gold as hosts of the 2007 South East Asian Games, and claimed silver at the 2019 edition after losing the gold medal match to the Philippines.
