She injured a tendon in her left leg and ligaments in both knees at the 2015 South East Asian Games in Singapore, but still went on to win gold in triple jump and long jump at the Games. She required a break from the sport to recover from the injury in 2015, and her training continued to be affected by the problem through to 2019. "At first, I was forced by my parents. I was asked to watch athletes training on the field. Gradually, I joined the training, entered several tournaments, and eventually won medals. Additional Information

General
RETIREMENT AND RETURN
She announced her retirement from the Indonesian national team after the 2019 South East Asian Games in the Philippines due to a recurring Achilles tendon injury and problems with both ankles. In 2020 she spent time coaching the Bali province athletics team in Indonesia. She decided to make a return to international competition after winning gold at the 2021 National Sports Week [PON] in Papua, Indonesia. "I wanted to return because there was a considerable result gap between me and my juniors. After winning gold [at the 2021 PON], I decided to cancel my retirement. It turned out I still have the opportunity to continue. My legs are getting better, it also motivates me to continue." (olahraga, 02 Dec 2021; sport, 25 Nov 2021, 05 Oct 2021, 08 Dec 2019; kompas, 06 Oct 2021; bali.tribunnews, 05 Oct 2021; sport.tempo, 08 Dec 2019)

CUSTOMISED SHOES
She has used customised running shoes since sustaining multiple injuries in 2015. "Due to my injuries, I began using a customised insole for my shoes. It was my doctor's suggestion. It was also because of the sole length difference between my left and right foot. My knee injuries also affected that decision. So I've been using customised shoes ever since." (cnnindonesia, 08 Jan 2020)

MEDICAL CONDITION
She suffered from restricted blood flow in her legs as a child. She underwent surgery to correct the issue, but this resulted in her left leg being slightly longer than her right leg. (straitstimes, 31 Jul 2016; sinarharapan, 02 Oct 2014)

OCCUPATION
She has worked as a civil servant at the Office of Education, Youth and Sports of Bali Province in Indonesia. (nusabali, 11 May 2023; kempalan, 24 Nov 2021; bali, 05 Oct 2021; disdikpora.baliprov, 08 Sep 2020)

FURTHER EDUCATION
She has studied for a master's degree in sports education at the Ganesha University of Education in Bali, Indonesia. (pasca, 06 Dec 2021)
