The Republic of Korea have competed in the men's team event at 10 editions of the Asian Games, finishing on the podium on all 10 occasions. They are yet to claim gold though, winning five silver medals and five bronze medals.
The Korean team debuted at the Olympic Games in 1964 in Tokyo. They have made 10 appearances at the Games in total, including eight consecutively between Barcelona 1992 and Tokyo 2020. Their best performance came at the 2004 Games in Athens where they finished in fourth place, 0.537 points behind bronze medallists Romania.
At the world championships, the Republic of Korea are yet to win a medal in 15 attempts. Since making their debut in 1994, their best performances are two fifth-place finishes in 1999 and 2007.
