Team Overview

General
An overtime defeat denied Chinese Taipei a podium place on 3x3 basketball's Asian Games debut in 2018, which was played as an U23 tournament. Their bronze medal match against Thailand finished 13-13 after regulation, and it was the Thais who claimed the medal by sinking the two overtime points needed to win 15-14.

Chinese Taipei made their U23 World Cup debut at the 2022 edition of the tournament in Romania. They won one of their four matches in the pool phase [beating Israel 18-9] and did not progress to the knockout stage, finishing with a final ranking of 13th from 20 teams.

At senior level, Chinese Taipei competed at five consecutive editions of the Asia Cup from 2017 to 2023. They are yet to progress further than the quarterfinals at the tournament. The team also featured at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which ended in a quarterfinal elimination to the Syrian Arab Republic.

On the global stage, Chinese Taipei ranked seventh at the inaugural senior World Cup in 2012 and finished 15th on their second appearance four years later.
