Team Overview

General
The Philippines are making their Asian Games debut at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The senior team competed at the Asia Cup for the first time in 2019. They were knocked out at the quarterfinal stage following a 21-16 loss to Australia. They also reached the last eight at the 2023 Asia Cup in Singapore, where they exited the competition at the hands of New Zealand.

The Philippines made their sole appearance at the senior World Cup in 2018, where they lost all four of their group matches. The team had a better experience as hosts of the 2019 South East Asian Games, beating Thailand 17-13 in the final to secure the gold medal.
