Hong Kong, China are making their Asian Games debut in the women's 3x3 basketball competition at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The senior Hong Kong, China team participated in the inaugural Asia Cup [then the Asia championship] in 2013, and finished in fourth place. Since then they have made two further appearances at the tournament, but did not progress beyond the qualifying round on either occasion. At the 2023 Asia Cup in Singapore, they beat Sri Lanka and Tahiti but defeats to India and New Zealand meant they did not advance to the main tournament.
